Author's Note: This topic is another one of the many faults that I find in man. For the people of the same country to turn against each other just because of different governmental views is quite sickening, so I wrote this to try to persuade those who are guilty of this to please stop.
The government's are supposed to hold our society together and make sure havoc doesn't burst out, but on the other hand, being that our government is divided into two parties, they actually can do the exact opposite. Many uninformed people can agrue endlessly and without reason about the pros and cons of Democrats and Republicans.
The thing that I find most painful, is that kids my age, whose views on politics are so rash, are just tearing at the most powerful man in the country. He is the man that is trying to lead us from the dark ages, but these people criticize every step he takes. Why can't they at least give Obama a chance? I would bet that if George W. Bush made the exact same health care plans as Obama all of the Republicans would fall in love with them and would gladly follow along. Then the Democrats would whine about how horrible the plan is. Yet, Republicans haven't been able to even give the plans a chance and the Democrats are in love with them. It is a sad thing that is tearing our country apart and both sides of the government need to start to see eye to eye.
All I am asking is that each Party can keep their minds open and help the Government move forward, because if we do keep moping about how the health care plans aren't exactly what we wanted, our country will fall into another depression and guess who will be blamed for it. Of course, it will be Obama and the democrats.

ReplyDeleteThe Democrats and Obama are ruining the integrity of this county! I would disagree with Bush if he put a healthcare plan like this out there. Obama has had a year. What has he acomplished?
ReplyDeleteDerek please dont lie to yourself. If Bush put out these plans you would be love them. And Obama has struggled to do things because Bush has gotten us into such a horrid economy
ReplyDeleteRyan, you are definitley right, and sorry Derek, but if Bush come up with the idea, you would love it. People only look at whether the person coming up with he ideas is in the same party as them.
ReplyDeleteNice job Ryan I may not exactly agree but it was written very well. An observation I made based of the comments on Derek's post about the governement and how bad Obama was, and your post and the comments was that while your saying that Obama is awsome and your criticizing George W Bush Derek is doin the same thing in reverse order so basically no matter what either of the presidents did some people are still going hate them. I personally don't have an opinion but if I had to choose I agree with Derek.
ReplyDeleteClaire, when Bush was in office, I was a Republican. I realized that he was horrible. When Obama came in I was Independent and I was cheering for McCain, not strongly but I still wanted him. Now I see that Obama is trying to do something but is unable to because of the hole he got dug into.

ReplyDeleteI think that Claire is right. No matter who is in charge and making whatever plan for the country, there are going to be people that just won't see eye to eye. In my opinion, there should have never even been seperate parties made in the first place. Most of these problems that you brought up may not have ever been a problem. And by having democrats and republicans, who knows who is really correct here? We could argue forever and not have a right answer. So I think that it's wrong to bash people in charge just because of one person's opinion.
ReplyDeleteBut if we had one party it would almost be a dictatorship, because people wouldn't have a choice to believe in what they wanted.
ReplyDeleteBut it could also combine both parties opinions so everyone can get some of what they want to happen.
